No excuses..

I need to get back into my groove and quick.  I keep making excuses, the big one the new job.  The working hours are early and I don’t feel like doing any exercise afterwards.  My feet kill after work – I have to wear steel capped boots and they are so hard on the feet (not like wearing my soft and bouncy runners).  It is mainly my big toes.  Also my eating has gone really bad.  I get up at 3am go to work at 6am I have a few nuts, at 10 am I have an apple then at about lunchtime I am starving and wanna eat.  Then I snack the rest of the day.  Have to get used to eating early so that the food gets more consistent and I stop eating badly.  So, over the next week I will work on that and also make sure I get my workouts in no matter if I am tired or whatever.  Once I get into a routine, it will all fall into place.

Did a Pt session today.  Weights work.  Burnt 360 Calories.

Ow that is early, I thought my 5am starts hurt! It takes a while to get accustomed to it- are you going to bed at 8pm? I struggle with shift work eating- but can you have a proper breakfast at a normal hour? Good luck. (I hear you loud and clear on the boots- I ended up forking out for boots myself to get some that didn’t kill my feet)

I haven’t managed to get into bed before 11pm so far – hoping for 9-10pm tonight (baby steps lol). The breakfast thing is just my head saying I dont wanna eat – so hopefully I change my thinking soon. Re the boots: I am trying two pairs of socks tomorrow. If that doesn’t work I will try bigger shoes – that doesn’t solve much if I have to run around in clown shoes. I don’t know how ppl have worn these steel cap boots…they are just so darn uncomfortable.

The biggest thing for me with my eating is food prep. I’ll prepare three or four days worth of food at one go. It takes a little while but it stops me from making bad “convenience” choices when I am tired or pressed for time. Granted my meal plan is basically the same from day to day but that works well for me, I need routine.

And yes, I even took a zip lock bag with chicken breast in it to eat at the ANB show yesterday (although being in an auditorium full of body builders that didn’t look at all strange)
